The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
